Lampad’air

Lampad’air is a light with variable volume. When it inflates, the multiple facets which constitute it dissociate and allow a more or less intense light. An electric air pump equipped with a program allows an autonomous fluctuation of its volume.

The artist Mia Liu took the time to punch holes into thousands of paper strips to form decorative patterns. This work also uses Guggenheim Museum’s tickets as the creative medium, and attempts to use this medium in a journal-like documentary
